BUILT to Adapt™
Fields & Foundations works primarily with small to mid-sized organizations that need experienced HR, organizational, or change leadership without necessarily adding a full-time senior-level position. I work especially well with organizations that are growing, evolving, navigating significant change, strengthening an existing HR function, or preparing their people for what comes next.
My work spans four primary areas: HR operations and organizational effectiveness; leadership, culture, and employee experience; transformation, change, and AI readiness; and organizational readiness and functional support.Depending on the need, that may include fractional HR leadership, HR strategy and operations, manager and HR team development, workforce planning, culture and employee experience, organizational change, technology implementation support, AI readiness and adoption, communication strategy, project leadership, and targeted support for HR or change initiatives.
Engagements are designed around the needs of the organization rather than a ready-made consulting package. Some clients need ongoing fractional leadership or advisory support, while others need help with a specific project, assessment, transformation, or period of transition. We begin by identifying the business need, what is getting in the way, and what success needs to look like. From there, I recommend an approach that fits the organization, the internal resources available, and the level of support required.
No. In many cases, my role is to strengthen the team that is already there.I can provide senior-level HR leadership, coach and develop existing HR professionals, help an HR generalist grow into a more strategic role, strengthen the way the function operates, or provide additional leadership capacity during a transition. The goal is to build internal capability, not create unnecessary dependence on an outside consultant.
Fractional HR leadership gives an organization access to senior HR expertise without hiring a full-time executive. The work can include advising senior leaders, setting HR priorities, strengthening HR operations, developing the internal HR team, aligning people strategy with business goals, navigating organizational transition, and helping build the structure the organization will need as it grows or changes.
Yes. I can provide experienced change management leadership and additional capacity for organizations navigating major initiatives, particularly digital transformation and technology implementations.Depending on the need, I can work alongside internal leaders, HR, project teams, or implementation partners to support organizational readiness, stakeholder engagement, leadership alignment, communication, training strategy, adoption, and sustainment. I can step into an established project that needs additional change expertise or provide dedicated client-side leadership to help keep the people side of the transformation moving forward. The goal is to strengthen the organization’s ability to lead the change, not simply manage a set of change activities.
